As a family-run company with deep roots in our community, making our neighborhoods a better place – and helping the people who live there – means a lot to us. That’s why we continue to lend our support to civic organizations, school and recreational programs, and many other local activities.
“Community” gets a little more difficult to define as our service area grows with our business success. But we do try in our own ways…small and large…here and there…to help others.
One project close to our hearts is the Stewart Park Revitalization Project. This year, we donated 500 trees that will eventually be planted by volunteers to replace invasive plants that have been choking out native species at the park.
The project kicked off on May 9 when members of the community—including us— gathered to begin the process of clearing out the invasive plants. About an acre of land was cleared that day! Ehrhart Energy and the Trumansburg Rotary Club also partnered together to provide a barbecued chicken lunch to all the hard-working and hungry volunteers.
If you have fond memories of time spent at beautiful Stewart Park, please join us in this ongoing effort, which will continue through the summer and early fall. Find out more and check out photos by going to the Stewart Park Revitalization Project Facebook page.
We hope to see you there!
