In the 15 years that she has been with us, our dispatcher, Marsha Covert, has worn many hats. She has been a full-time customer-service representative, an office manager and a team leader on procedures.
In her role as a team leader, she demonstrated a true strength in organization and communication. It turns out that these are also two key characteristics a strong dispatcher needs to have. So when the opportunity arose, Marsha stepped into the role seamlessly.
As our dispatcher, Marsha enters criteria into a software system to determine which customers need fuel first, depending on the level of fuel in their tank. She also communicates with customers to ensure that the drivers can access homes before a runout occurs, even with weather and other challenges.
“My number one priority is to make sure the customer never runs out of product,” she says. And during those rare times when a customer does run out, Marsha works to find out why in order to prevent a repeat.
As far as working at Ehrhart goes, Marsha says, “The employees, my coworkers, and the customers — they’re all fantastic. We really have a solid company here, with every department very willing to help the others, and that makes such a difference.”
On the personal side, Marsha and her husband are expecting their first grandchild at the end of July.
